Kent County Youth Fair
August 10th - 15th, 2009
Theme "75 Years and Beyond!"

This past year, the fair featured over 1,000 youth exhibitors displaying their animals and exhibits. Over 50,000 visitors attended the fair in 2008. They were treated to free entertainment at the main stage tent and throughout the fair grounds. The very popular Flying Star Rodeo, live stock auction, Karaoke, Guitar Hero Contest, Reading for Rides Program, Talent shows, carnival rides and games, family fun dance, pullin' on the track and the children's barn yard are just a few of the numerous events and activities that go on all week long.

There are many sponsorship opportunities for your business to support the youth of Kent County and the fair (click here to see). In addition, we have both inside and outside commercial exhibit spaces available. With your support, you will be joining many of the great companies and individuals that that supported the fair and continue to believe in our youth. Governor Granholms Executive Order 2009.22, the Elimination of Fair premiums for 2009, was passed by the Joint Committee on Wednesday afternoon, May 5, 2009. Please contact Ron Wenger at 616-897-6050 if you are interested in making a donation to help the Kent County Youth Fair to give premiums to the kids who work so hard on their projects.

  • Program done with the Kent District Libraries, will be expanding this year to the Grand Rapids Library.
