2008 Guitar Hero at the Kent County Youth Fair!

Do you think you are the best? Can you score the points? Well it is going to take more than point scoring to win. Points will be part of it, but "Stage Presence" will also be part of the final judging.


Yet another cool announcement: Blue Star Pilot will be playing before the guitar hero contest and at the breaks during the contest. This band will definitely get the crowd warmed up for the guitar hero contest. Look for them to take the stage at 6:00 PM!

The folks at Firehouse Guitars have really stepped up to the plate - they have decided to give a custom Les Paul Zakk Wylde buzzsaw guitar away as the grand prize. But you have to be in it to have a chance at the Les Paul. Check below for locations and times of the qualification rounds!

Look for WGRD at the finals, they will be out doing live remotes and they will have their custom trailer with the huge plasma screen!!

The top 20 qualifiers in each age division will be invited to the finals.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Please check the following information:

  • Arrive at the fair by 5:00 PM, go to the Event Tent which is to the left of the large red & white event tent on the main street of the fair.
  • Remember that in the finals, your score is based on 50% points and 50% stage presence, don't just stand there and play. There is a panel of 5 judges.
  • You can dress up as a rock star (keep it family friendly)
  • You will select your level of play at check-in at the finals.
  • You will be paired up with another contestant of equal level, you will have to agree on a song to do. Note: it is suggested that you select a "less popular" song, if 10 pairs select the same song to do, it will be hard to get the crowd going.
  • If your name is misspelled, please email us with the correct spelling.
