Community Stage

New this year at the Kent County Youth Fair is the addition of our Community Stage. The stage will have 1 hour time slots available from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. (note the 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM time slot is the last one for each day) The Stage will be used for the Guitar Hero Contest all day Saturday. You will be able to select your 1st, 2nd & 3rd choice for time slots. In the case where all 3 slots you selected are filled, we will contact you to see if there is another time slot that you could use. As part of our 75 year celebration, there will be a parade on Sunday August 9th at 5:30 pm. Community stage performers are encouraged to join us in the parade!

The stage will be approximately 20' x 16' and will be covered with a white tent. Seating for the stage will not be covered. There will be a sound system and electric will be available.

If your organization, group, or an individual would like to showcase their talents, all you have to do is sign up either by filling out the online form below, or by printing the form available here and either mailing it or delivering it to the fair office no later than July 31, 2009.   1. The Kent County Youth Fair(KCYF) will evaluate each request received as to the appropriateness of the performance to be given. Only performances determined to be appropriate will be scheduled. The decision of the KCYF is final.
  2. The KCYF has the right to stop any performance that is deemed inappropriate.
  3. Performers who are under 18 must fill out a parent/guardian release form. The form may be downloaded here. You may fill out the request form electronically, but you will have to mail or bring the release form to the fair office. Each minor in a group will have to have a filled out form.
  4. Time slots will be given out on a first come first served basis, so get your applications in early.
  5. Your 1 hour time slot must include set up and tear down, so please plan accordingly.
  6. The request form must be received in the office by July 31, 2009 electronically, by US Mail, or in person.
